The one behind
the hands..

I’m Alexis, the woman behind Ophelia Esthetics, and honestly, this whole thing started long before I even had a space to call "Ophelia Esthetics". It began with blue eyeliner in middle school, orange foundation that never matched, and the kind of fierce determination only a teenage girl with a YouTube tutorial obsession can have. Somewhere between those bold looks and the first time a friend said, “stooop, seriously!?”, I realized this wasn’t just a phase. It was a calling.

Skincare became personal for me. I spent years trying to understand my own acne, wishing I could just feel at home in my skin. When I finally cracked the code after going to school, everything changed — and I knew I wanted to help other people feel that same freedom, softness, and self-acceptance. Not perfection. Just peace.

My treatment room feels like a cozy escape — plants, warm tones, soft blankets, calm energy. You can talk, laugh, vent, or say nothing at all. I’ll meet you wherever you are that day. Clients tell me I make them feel heard and cared for, and that my hands somehow know what to do before they even explain it. Maybe that’s intuition. Maybe it’s just a little bit of magic.

I’m not here to sell you things you don’t need. I’m here to help you feel good. Skin can be complicated, and life can be chaotic, but when you’re here, things get simple again.

Outside the studio, I’m a cat lover, a coffee devotee, a hopeless feeler who cries when fictional characters get hurt, and someone always searching for her next little adventure even when vulnerability makes my knees shake.

Ophelia Esthetics is personal to me. It’s my craft, my heart, my story, and if you’re here, I’m already grateful.

With Love,

Alexis Akerson
